Xtreme (8-0-1) rolled into Friday night's matchup against the Falcons knowing that a better effort than the previous outing was going to be required in order to keep the "0" in the loss column.
4 runs in the top of the first inning got Xtreme out to an early lead, only to see the Falcons answer the bell with 4 of their own in the home half of the inning. In an unforeseen turn of events, SS- Chris Mace (who jacked his 9th of the Season in the top of the first) went down and had to leave the game due to injury. Rookie draft-pick Jamie Allan moved into action at SS and proceeded to showcase the depth of the Defense, and added a long-ball on the Offensive side of things (his 5th of the Season). It was Carter who led the way for the Falcons' offense going yard three times and Elcich also jacked one of his own.
A close battle throughout the 7 innings ended in a favourable 15-11 result for Xtreme improving the record to 9-0-1. After the game, it was a Cito Pizza Party accompanied by the regular banter. Xtreme enjoyed the result for a couple of hours, but now shift their focus towards Sunday's matchup against the 2nd place Devils (7-2-0). Catch all the action on K1 beginning at 5:00pm.
