Xtreme Contracting entered Sunday's double-header with a disappointing 2-3 record on the Season.
Rebels provided the opposition for the 8pm tilt. Xtreme was in control of this one pretty much from the start however a few silent innings on the sticks, runners stranded on multiple occasions, and numerous defensive blunders led to a much closer game. Homerun hitters included Chris Mace, Jamie Allan, and Derek Ackford (his 1st of the Season). In the end, Xtreme prevailed 16-9 and evened their record at 3-3.
With only a 10 minute break before the second game, Xtreme players moved quickly to the parking lot for a "post-gamer/pre-gamer" and then proceeded down to K2 for a battle with the 2012 Playoff Champion Hanet Plastics. Despite giving up 3 in the top of the 1st, Xtreme rebounded with 4 of their own in the bottom of the inning. A short-lived lead however as the Hanet bats were solid throughout the evening; combine that with a second consecutive game of runners being left stranded in scoring position, and yet another poor defensive performance and it all adds up to equal Xtreme's 4th loss of the season. The final score in this one was Hanet 18 - Xtreme 11.
Xtreme Contracting (3-4) will visit the Bradley Motors Shifters (4-4-1) on Wednesday at 8pm on K1.
