Xtreme Completes "Mini-Homestand" Sweep!

Wednesday night was the second game of a 2-game mini-homestand for Xtreme Contracting.  After opening the set with an 18-6 victory over the Rebels on Sunday, Xtreme faced the Bradley Motors Shifters.  Xtreme got off to a somewhat slow start but the team came around after a few innings, with the Offence in this one being highlighted by a Grand Slam Homerun from Dave Mountain.  The Defence was again consistent with very minimal errors on the evening.  A solid all-around team effort led to a 17-6 win for Xtreme.

In an unfortunate turn of events, RF Tim Rodgers took a spill while chasing down a ball, landing on his left wrist and he had to exit the game.  That opened the door for Falcons' Wannabe Mike Anderson to get into the outfield for the duration of the contest.  It is unclear as to the severity of the injury to Rodgers, and as of Friday morning he remains on the IR list for precautionary measures.

Xtreme (15-6) sits 1.5 games behind the League Leaders Storm (17-5) but with a game in hand.  Xtreme plays again on Friday night at 8pm when they visit Greenthumb/Woodland on K1.  Following the Greenthumb game, Xtreme welcomes Storm to K1 for a 9:30pm contest (the first of 2 consecutive games between these two teams who are battling for supremacy in the WMSPL).  The second leg of this home-and-home goes Sunday at 6:30pm on K2 when Xtreme visits the Storm.
