Xtreme wraps up the season with a 2-game Road Trip!

Game 37 of 38 on the schedule for Xtreme was unfortunately meaningless in the whole scheme of things, but nonetheless, the team gave a solid performance in a 16-9 victory over Mayhem on Wednesday evening.

Xtreme has already guaranteed 3rd place in the WMSPL standings and will enter the Playoffs with teams 5 and 8 in the round-robin portion of the Tournament scheduled to begin on Sept.12th.

The season will conclude with a potentially HUGE game (for the opposition Falcons) on Sunday evening at 6:30pm on K1, as the 2nd place Storm will have already faced off against Direct Elevator at 5pm.  A Storm win combined with a Falcons loss would result in a 2nd Straight President's Division Title for the Storm.

League Championship hopes go Up In Flames!

Xtreme officially wrote-off any chance of capturing the WMSPL President's Division (and League Title) following a pathetic effort against the St. Louis Devils on August 26th.  Devils 7 - Xtreme 5.

Xtreme picks-up Dunner as Tryout for 2015 Season!

Sunday night saw Xtreme put it's 6-game win streak on the road when they hosted the Coulas Bone Crushers on K1.  Xtreme's roster was down to only 8 players so President Dunn was called into action and given a chance to show Xtreme why it still makes sense to pull the trigger on the Dunn for Anderson trade which there has been much speculation about over the past two seasons. Dunner played a strong CF (only 1 error that Ackford would have called BRUTAL) and batted above average in his Xtreme debut. Unfortunately there were a few short liners that Xtreme outfielders could not make plays on due in large part to fielding with a 9-man roster and a few ground balls that were bobbled or snuck through the infield. Nonetheless, the biggest concern was the lack of Offence in this one as Xtreme only managed to score 7 against the Bone Crusher defence, which compared unfavourably to the 9 runs scored by Coulas.  Make it a 9-7 Bone Crusher win.

You're Missing Ball WHY on Friday???

With Xtreme bound to be missing SOME of its' players for legitimate reasons on Friday Night, this conversation overheard at Kelloryn Park this past Monday begs to question where Players' Commitments truly run deepest...

D.M.:  Well, if you want me to fall for you, you'd better give me something worth tripping over!

D.A.:  How about a $15 ticket to Friday night's Jays Game?

D.M.:  But we have "Real Ball", the guys (mainly Drew) will be PISSED if we miss it!

D.A.:  Screw them, most of them are married with kids... They don't understand our kind of Love.

D.M.:  Alright, I'm in... But if the Devils beat us on Friday night and end our quest for the President's Division Title, you and I are OVER!
