Home Opener A Success!

Xtreme's Offence arrived in mid-season form on Tuesday evening as they took to K2 for an 8pm matchup against the Devils.  As could be expected after a long off-season and slim-to-no Spring Training, the Defence wasn't perfect but still managed to hold the Devils to 3 runs on the evening.
4-4 and 3-4 at the plate was a common theme for the Boys of Summer, and Assistant Coach Ashbee jacked a 3-run shot in his first plate appearance of the season in the bottom of the first to take what will be remembered as a very brief lead in the 2014 WMSPL HR Championship race.

Xtreme welcomed newcomer Dave Hendrix to the lineup and had a visit from former Xtreme infielder Matt Ballantyne prior to the 1st pitch.  In other team news, O'B has been lost to season ending surgery and Don Bridge has successfully played in 1 of 1 regular season games thus far in 2014 without injury (and as a result all bets are now void, as nobody on the team predicted Don would make it 7 innings straight)... LOL!

Be sure to come out and catch Game #2 of the home-stand against the Rebels on Wednesday May 14th (K1) at 8:00pm.
