A Double Disappointment!

Sunday Night's doubleheader was Xtreme's chance to make a statement following their first 2-game losing streak of the season.  Instead, a 23-10 loss to the first place Devils followed by an 18-5 thumping at the hands of the Falcons dropped the team's record to 16-8-1 on the season and the team has now gone 1-5 in their last 6 games.

Offensive highlights of the evening were very limited including Ricky Mace's 6-for-6 performance at the plate, while Ackford and Allan both jacked 2 HR's each (their 16th & 17th, and 13th & 14th of the season respectively).

Coach Ackford was not available for comment following the games.  His Mercedes-Benz SUV was however seen leaving the diamond in what was believed to be a fit of rage (or maybe he was just in a rush to get home in time to catch the Season Finale of The Bachelorette on a West Coast feed).

The team will look to rebound as they host the Vice President Division leading Storm (19-6) on Wednesday evening at 8pm on K1.  Anything less than a win will all but officially close the door on any hope that may still exist for a President's Division title in 2012.

No worries boys. Nothing wrong with slumping at the right time of the season. We have had guys missing games here and there, but when we are all available we are strong. Get ready for the turnaround. It s coming soon.
