Wednesday night's match against the Storm (and Sean Dunn- Falcons) was just what the doctor ordered for Xtreme Contracting. Following the team's first losing streak of the season (a costly 4 game skid), the defending Playoff Champs battled hard against the Storm and despite having never held the lead during the game, some 7th inning heroics lead to a come-from-behind victory as Xtreme scored 4 times in the bottom of the 7th to record a 15-14 win.
Wilcox and Ashbee co-lead the offensive charge, both going 4-for-4 at the plate (including HR's # 3 and 4 respectively on the season), and each also recorded a Walk. Jamie Allan added his 15th long-ball of the season, and he currently sits 3rd amongst the League Leaders.
In post-game news... Xtreme Contracting and the Falcons have come to an "agreement in principle" for the first trade of the season. The proposed deal would see Mike "I can pitch guys, really" Anderson going to the Blue & Black, in exchange for Sean "Beige" Dunn. League Executives have not been contacted at this point regarding the proposed deal.
Xtreme takes on Hanet Plastics on Sunday at 5:00pm on K2. See you at the Ball Diamond!
Both Dunn and Anderson were far more upset at Ashbee relieving himself without turning around. Poor Heather.
ReplyDeleteAnother footnote should be Matt s great night at third and Cito thrown in to pitch after he had iced his arm for the night. Ackfords injury forced Cito back on the mound where he shut the door despite hitting like a girl.
