Sunday night featured a matchup versus the President Division leading St. Louis Devils. Xtreme was looking to even the season series at 2 wins each, and anything less than a win would eliminate the slim odds that remained for a Division Title.
The bats came out a-swingin' and despite giving up 2 in the top of the first, Xtreme answered back with 6 runs of their own, and over a couple of innings built up a 10-2 lead. Both teams recorded a few more runs, and the Final Score: Xtreme 14 Devils 4.
Player of the Game honours were awarded to Matt Ballantyne for his Grand-Slam, and solid defensive performance. Ackford caught Allan in the race for the Homerun Title, now both sitting at 22 long-balls this season. Darryl Ashby (Rebels) sits 1 behind the pair with 21, and Xtreme faces-off against the Rebels on Monday night in their final meeting of the regular season. The Rebels are the only team that Xtreme has yet to defeat this season, currently sitting at 0-1-1 head-to-head.
