Xtreme "Sweeps Away" Direct in Season Finale!

It was an Epic Battle for the Ages... Actually, it was more of an Xtreme Stinker!

Xtreme faced-off with Direct Elevator to close out the 2012 Regular Season on Sunday.  There was absolutely nothing on the line for Xtreme (and it showed).  The Offense was asleep, as it took 4 innings to get through the batting order (consisting only of 11 players).  The fortunate part was that the Defense was solid enough to keep the team in the game.  Score was tied at 5-5 going into the top of the 7th and Direct put 2 more runs on the board, taking a 7-5 lead.  Xtreme battled back in the home half of the 7th to score the 3 runs required for the walk-off victory and completed the 4-game Season Sweep of Direct Elevator outscoring the opposition 41-21 along the way.

Xtreme recorded one of its strongest regular season showings in recent years finishing in 2nd place in the Presidents Division and 3rd overall, with a record of 27-9-2.

The team now shifts its focus to the Post-Season which begins on Saturday for the defending Playoff Champions at 9:00am on K2 as they take on the 11th place Bradley Motors Shifters.  This will be followed by a battle with the 6th place Falcons at Noon (also on K2).  Come on down to Kelloryn and show Xtreme your support for this final weekend of baseball in the WMSPL 2012 season!
