Xtreme showed up with only a 9-man roster on Sunday afternoon to face the St. Louis Devils. The Devils arrived with but 9 of their own, so the teams provided a catcher back-and-forth until the Devils had a 10th player arrive a few innings into the game.
It was another low scoring game between the clubs which featured some good defense from both sides. Offence was hard to come by and Xtreme found themselves trailing 3-0 early, but cutting the lead to 3-2, prior to breaking out for a few more important runs late in the game.
Xtreme held on to that lead to record an 8-4 victory and once again leveling their record at 5-5 on the season, and also pulling even with those same Devils (now at 5-5 for the year).
There will be little time to savour the victory however, as Xtreme is back in action on Tuesday night with a home date against Mayhem. First pitch is scheduled for 9:30pm on K2.
