Big Bats lead to Big Win!

Xtreme Contracting played the 2nd of its current 3-game road swing on Tuesday night visiting Greenthumb on K2 at 9:30pm.  A 5-spot in the top of the 1st followed by another 12 runs in the top of the 2nd (while sending 17 batters to the plate) led to a very early 17-1 lead.  Highlights included Ricky Mace hitting his team leading 3rd HR of the year, while 2013 co-HR Champion Jamie Allan launched his first round-tripper of the Season.  Cito went 7 innings on the mount for the complete game win, while Larry Mitchell returned to outfield duty making some nice grabs along the way.

Xtreme improves to 2-0 on the road-trip with the 24-7 victory (5 innings) with one more to go (Sunday at 6:30pm vs. Hanet on K1).  Sunday is also the first Fan Appreciation Night of the 2014 Season and Xtreme players will be accessible at the ballpark for a meet and greet session after the game (in between their pizza and pops).

In other team news, Xtreme was happy to receive a positive medical update from Dave H., who confirmed on Monday that he was released from hospital after a brief observation period with only minor concussion-like symptoms, following being hit in the head on Sunday night with what was likely Mitchell's hardest hit in years!  He is listed as day-to-day.
