A Whole Lotta Catch-Up!

Welcome Back Xtreme Fans! After an extended period of sheer laziness, your blog has returned.
When we last left you, Xtreme had just opened up a 6-game home-stand with a victory over Hanet Plastics. Unfortunately, the Monday night game versus the A's did not go according to plan and Xtreme dropped a 17-7 decision. Following this disappointing loss (the 2nd of the year against A's), the boys knew it was time to pull their shit together if there was going to be any chance of capturing the 2014 Triple Crown. Xtreme proceeded to close out the home-stand with 4 straight victories including wins against Direct Elevator, Falcons, Greenthumb, and the Rebels.

The team then visited the Coulas Bone Crushers in the first game of a BIG Sunday night double-header.  A solid all-around team effort led to the 15-5 win for Xtreme. In the 2nd game of the evening, it was Xtreme hosting the Storm in another "do or die" game for the 2011 WMSPL Playoff Champs.  Clutch hitting and good defence was the key to success in this one, make the final 18-10 for Xtreme Contracting.

Riding a 6-game win streak, Xtreme played host to Mayhem on Wednesday night.  Xtreme dug itself into an early hole which it managed to creep back out of, only to watch Mayhem continue to pound the ball for the remainder of the 6 innings played.  A last minute effort came up short as Xtreme stranded the tying and winning runs on the base-path.  Mayhem holds on for the 17-16 upset victory.

Up next is a Friday night double-header as Xtreme will visit the Falcons and Direct Elevator on K2.
