On the Road Again!

Xtreme returned to action on Friday evening as they visited K2 for a couple of massive games in the chase for the President's Division title.

Up first was an 8pm contest against "Whitby's most-beloved" Falcons. Nobody was quite sure what to expect in this one based upon the first 2 meetings of the Season (a 26-8 Falcons victory back in June and a 9-6 Xtreme victory just a couple of weeks ago). Xtreme jumped out to an early 6-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning and held the Falcons scoreless in the home half. Another big 6-run 4th inning for Xtreme gave them a 15-3 lead, the Falcons then answered with 2 more runs of their own.  While the Falcons outscored Xtreme 8-7 in the remaining 3 innings of play, it was the 2011 Playoff Champs who came out on top in this one by a final score of 22-13.

In Game 2, Xtreme faced off against Direct Elevator. Xtreme chipped away scoring 2 runs in each of the first 3 innings while playing solid defence along the way. The offence continued to put up runs in support of the defence (and an absolute pitching gem by Larry Mitchell) en route to a 15-0 victory (the 2nd shutout of the season for the Xtreme defence).

With 12 games left to play in the WMSPL regular season schedule for Xtreme Contracting (17-8-1), the team continues its' 4-game road swing on Sunday night at 6:30pm (K1) where Hanet Plastics will provide the opposition, followed by a Monday night visit to the A's (8:00pm on K1).

- Ron's HR Challenge now sees him with only 12 games left to try and make a few bucks (#NOTBLOODYLIKELY), while an update on his .500 Batting Average Challenge cannot be commented on, as Coach Ackford has yet to release the official stats from last evening;

- Jamie is scolded at the Park by his better-half for "wanting to smell yo' d*ck" and finally;

- After the post-game celebrations (sponsored last evening by Cito), most of the Xtreme roster was looking for Pizza; a couple of Falcons were committed to a Big Mac and the McDonald's Play Place, however the whereabouts of Coach Ackford and Falcons' Ash still remains a mystery as they may have been "looking for each other" on this evening, last seen exiting the Kelloryn parking lot area together based upon the latest Falcons Slo-pitch report:  http://www.falconsslopitch.com/
