Civic Holiday not worth Celebrating for Xtreme!

Xtreme returned to the diamond on Monday night to face the Rebels in what was another "must win" game.  The first meeting of the season saw the Rebels defeat Xtreme 14-9.

Xtreme trailed early and it wasn't until the bottom of the 5th inning that they managed to level the score at 7's.  The 7th inning saw the Rebels put 3 on the board and forced the Xtreme offense to step it up in the home half of the inning.  The team managed to score the 3 runs required to tie the game 10-10, however an unfortunate double-play ended the inning and Xtreme's chance of completing the comeback and recording the win.

Allan jacked his 18th HR of the season, while Ashbee recorded his 5th, and R. Mace his 3rd.  The TSN turning point of the night was a bases-loaded with none out situation and Xtreme's bats failed to cash a single run.

The team remains 3 games back of the Devils (who have a game in hand) for 1st overall and will need to put together a 9-0 run to wrap up the regular season if there is any hope for a WMSPL League Championship this season.

Xtreme will be back in action on Sunday evening with a Double-Header scheduled against Hanet Plastics and Direct Elevator.  Game 1 starts at 8pm.
