Xtreme came into Tuesday night's game against Mayhem with one thought in mind: Revenge!
The bats got off to a big start, as Xtreme put on a hitting clinic early in the game. Homeruns were hit by Ackford (his 18th and 19th of the year), and Ballantyne with his 2nd (in consecutive games). Unfortunately, the skies got dark and it appeared as though the storms were lurking in the not too distant future.
Having only played 3 innings and leading by an 18-4 score, Xtreme's offense began to "struggle" in the top of the 4th and 5th innings respectively. The defense did it's job nonetheless, and the weather co-operated until the bottom of the 6th, when lightening struck and the game was called. An 18-6 victory for Xtreme was the end result.
The team now has a few days off to rest, and will be riding a 3-game win streak as they come up against the Rebels on Monday night at 9:30pm (K1).
