At Friday nights home game against Coulas, as Ackford came up to bat, the Mountain Man challenged him to bet a pizza that he would get on base and continue his 1.000 batting average for the season. Ackford said he could go better than that and hit a home run or buy a pizza. What happened next has been the subject of several wet dreams in the Ackford household in the last week as he went yard and proclaimed "Just call me The Babe".
Xtreme went on to register a comfortable 18-6 win against Coulas, although Ackford finally fell short in his whole season perfect hitting record attempt registering 3 for 4 at the plate.
